College Course Manager – SEND Education

Our client provides care and education for children and young people with severe, profound, and complex learning difficulties and disabilities, sensory impairments, communication disorders, and autism.

 

Job Role

We are looking for a committed course manager to join our brand-new, state-of-the-art speciality college, supporting students aged 19–25 to live their best lives. You will lead one of our four learning pathways and play a key role in shaping high-quality learning experiences for students with complex needs while empowering and developing a dedicated teaching and support team.

As a course manager, you will play a pivotal leadership role in delivering an exceptional curriculum that enables every young person to thrive.

Responsibilities

Essential Experience & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or Post-16 teaching qualification.
  • Experience in specialist FE or SEND school/college settings.
  • Strong knowledge of statutory SEND frameworks and safeguarding guidance.
  • Proven leadership, coaching and team-development skills.
  • A successful teaching track record with excellent differentiation and classroom management.

 

Desirable:

  • Leadership, SEND, Autism or Careers qualification (or willingness to work towards).
  • Experience managing larger teams, data analysis, audits or inspections.
  • Familiarity with EHCPs, multi-agency working, risk assessments and digital systems.
